Our Solution
To address this challenge, we implemented a solution using Microsoft Power Apps integrated with Power BI. Here's a simplified step-by-step process detailing our approach:
1. Creating Visuals in Power BI
- We started by developing standard visuals in Power BI to represent their key data metrics.
2. Embedding Power Apps
- We generated a Power App visual within Power BI, selecting the specific data field to be passed into Power Apps. This integration enables isolating records within the Power App based on the visualized data.
3. Publishing the Power App
- After configuring the visual, we published the unfinished Power App, enabling the data transmission between Power BI and Power Apps.
4. Final Integration Steps
- We replaced the original Power App visual with the new one, ensuring continuity and data accuracy. By linking the published app, we refined the integration, facilitating real-time data use within Power Apps.
5. Enhanced Functionality
- Finally, we continued building the Power App, leveraging data directly from Power BI, culminating in an efficient, interactive solution that empowers their operational decisions.
