It sounds obvious to say, but staying on top of projects is essential for efficient operations and strategic success. Recently, a client in the management consulting industry faced significant challenges in automating their project portfolio status reporting process. Their existing system was cumbersome, manually intensive, and prone to errors - leading to delays and inefficiencies.
To address these challenges, our team at Traction proposed a comprehensive solution leveraging Microsoft Project Online, Microsoft Teams, and Power BI. Over three sessions, we demonstrated the practical application of these tools to enhance their Executive Update presentations, provided hands-on feedback through roleplay scenarios on active projects, and meticulously reviewed Power BI dashboards to align with strategic goals. By leveraging these tools, we enabled the client to automate their reporting processes, reducing manual workload and improving the accuracy and timeliness of their project management reports.
