Challenge

 Large national sales force consisting of 300+ salesmen responsible for cross-sharing territories but with unique security requirements.

 Extensive data-collection requirements were implemented, causing too many steps to effectively track the sales pipeline.

 Daily usage of the tool as a sales planner was non-existent.  Searching for next-step information was disjointed and not readily accessible.

 Basic Sales Reporting was often inaccurate at best, instead the team was leveraging Excel spreadsheets and email communications to update the business as to ongoing progress within sales operations.

Dynamics 365 Solution

 Defined and managed the complete implementation process, revising vital security setups to better reflect and simplify the needs of the business.

Helped reduce steps and data-entry requirements in order for the team to rapidly track and facilitate client projects and quote requests.

 Defined key week-in-the-life actions for both Managers and Salesmen and provided train-the-trainer sessions in order to gain better daily usage for follow-ups.

 Recommitted to leveraging CRM Reporting with a focus on utilizing newer Sales Reporting capabilities of Dynamics CRM, as well as implementing data-rich Power BI dashboards and reports.

Outcome


 Sales Rep management and visibility of data are siloed and protected to ensure users had access to vital information, while protecting financials on a need-to-know basis.

 A revised streamline workflow, eliminating 5 steps in order to request a quote, and reducing required data elements across the entire sales pipeline process

 Can readily train sales reps on the value of using CRM as a day-to-day planner, with simple 2-click operations and readily visible next-step actions.
